About Me

Who Am I?

Hi, I'm Sunny Chan—a lifelong explorer, tech enthusiast, and believer in breaking the status quo.

My Professional Journey

Starting my professional journey at AXA

Business Analyst @ AXA

I started my career in August 2024 at AXA, diving into the world of insurance and automation. This is my first full-time role, and it's the perfect launchpad for learning how technology shapes business.

Education: Engineering Science, HKU

I graduated from HKU's Engineering Science program—a flexible, multidisciplinary Code Playground for the curious. My studies ranged from intelligent optimization and programming to philosophy, economics, and cultural studies. This mix lets me approach problems from both technical and human perspectives.

What Drives Me?

Travelling and exploring
Exploring new places and meeting new fluffy friends along the way

Curiosity, Always

I believe in never settling for the status quo. Life is a journey of exploring, learning, and living. I'm always seeking new ideas, skills, and experiences.

My Interests & Hobbies

Tech Passions

Blockchain & Web3

I'm fascinated by decentralized tech—especially how blockchain empowers ownership and transparency.

Let me introduce one of my favorite blockchain projects - 3ook.com, formerly the likerland.

It's a platform that redefines digital content ownership and rewards creators fairly. Also, the blockchain technology makes the publication here sensorship resilient.

Automation

Routine tasks? I automate them. At work, I use VBA to streamline processes and reduce errors. Off the clock, I build personal tools in Python just for fun.

Web & App Development

Right now, I'm building this very website. Next up: adding more features and making it even better.

Books

I read widely—literature, personal finance, economics, history, and more. A recent favorite: Asking the Right Questions: A Guide to Critical Thinking.

Films

To me, film is something more than entertainment, it opens up a new perspective. Everyone who concerns about the lives of others should watch the documentary No Other Land. Another Japanese film I like a lot is Perfect Days, it reminds me to re-think about what Life is and how it really should be.

Films have the power to inspire, challenge, and transform perspectives, making them an essential part of my journey.

Movement & Exercise

Dancing

Dancing is a new adventure for me. Thanks to a friend, I've joined choreography projects—contemporary and ballet. It's challenging, but I love the process.

Swimming

I'm not a pro, but swimming is my meditation. The quiet underwater world helps me reset and recharge.

A Few More Things
